I’ve spent the last eight weeks wishing for snow. I really thought it would bring me some seasonal cheer. The kind I only get from hot drinks, and turtlenecks. I love turtlenecks, scarves too. Another sure sign of winter solstice is dry hair. Really dry hair. I noticed a woman who was standing in front of me in the elevator in the mall. Her staticy, dry ends weren’t loving her turtleneck, scarf, anything. It looked almost painful. I’ve had personal conversations with some of you regarding over shampooing. I know, i know you think you need daily shampooing. You don’t. Consider just rinsing well. It’s like this, natural oils once heated above body temperature are able to travel down the length of your hair. Conditioning it naturally. Turns out natural oils are the only oils with molecules small enough to penetrate into your skin, and hair. Remember, they came out, so they can go back in. Right? So rinsing them down the lengths of hair is a good thing. Besides, I know of none of you that actually get very dirty. For those of you who insist on washing everyday, consider rinsing those natural oils down the shafts of hair. Then, just shampoo your scalp. It’s a win, win. Right. Also rinsing with cooler water as well as using Kerastase Subliment Joue on the ends help keep static under control.
